Psychology Services and Fees
Psychology ONE provides psychological support for adults, young people, children, couples and families from our clinic in Noosaville on the Sunshine Coast.
People seek therapy for many different reasons. You may be managing anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, parenting concerns or a significant change in your life. You may also be looking for an assessment, report or support for your child.
Our clinicians take an individualised approach, considering your needs, circumstances and goals rather than applying the same process to every person.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides a confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings, experiences and patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing or everyday life.
Our clinicians support adults and young people with concerns including anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, trauma, grief, self-esteem, emotional regulation, neurodivergence, chronic health conditions, relationship difficulties and major life changes.
Your clinician will work collaboratively with you to understand what is happening and develop an approach suited to your needs and goals.
Therapy for Children and Adolescents
Children and young people may experience emotional, behavioural, developmental, family or school-related challenges in different ways.
Support may be helpful for anxiety, low mood, trauma, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, family changes, school stress, social difficulties, neurodivergence, grief or adjustment to change.
Therapy is adapted to the child or young person’s age, needs and preferred way of communicating. Parents and caregivers may be involved where appropriate.
Couples and Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy can support couples experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, changes in trust, parenting pressures or significant life transitions.
Sessions provide a structured space to better understand the patterns affecting the relationship and consider more constructive ways of communicating and responding to one another.
Parenting and Family Support
Families may seek support during separation, changes at home, parenting challenges or periods of stress affecting relationships within the family.
The most suitable format depends on the family and the reason for seeking support. This may involve working with one family member, involving a parent or caregiver in selected sessions or providing broader family support.
Psychological Assessments and Reports
Psychology ONE provides selected psychological assessments and report services for children, adolescents and adults.
The right assessment process depends on the reason for the referral, the age and needs of the person, the questions the assessment is intended to answer and how the report will be used.
Before an assessment is confirmed, our team will explain whether Psychology ONE provides the service required, which clinician may be suitable, what information is needed, the expected process, timeframe and fee.
A Tailored Approach to Therapy
Our clinicians draw on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches depending on the client’s needs, goals, age and circumstances.
These may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness-based approaches and other approaches where appropriate.
You do not need to know which therapy approach you require before requesting an appointment. Your clinician will discuss the approach that may best suit your circumstances and goals.
Fees and Payment
Fees vary depending on the practitioner, appointment type and service required. Psychology ONE will confirm the applicable fee and appointment length before your booking is finalised.
You do not need a referral if you are paying privately. A valid referral may be required if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate for an eligible psychology service. Medicare may only cover part of the session fee, and some services - including couples therapy, assessments and reports - may not attract a rebate.
Some private health insurance policies provide benefits for psychological services. Please contact your insurer directly to confirm your level of cover.
Assessment and report fees are quoted separately because the cost depends on the assessment process, number of appointments, tools required and whether a written report is included.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact the practice as early as possible.
Late cancellations or appointments that are not attended may incur a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees cannot be claimed through Medicare. The applicable policy will be confirmed when your appointment is booked.
